Nina Dobrev is soaking up the sun and a little bit of freedom after parting ways with her former fiancé, Shaun White.
The Vampire Diaries alum, 36, was spotted enjoying a glamorous yacht getaway with Zac Efron, Chace Crawford, Miles Teller, and Keleigh Teller in a series of Instagram photos shared on Thursday. Dobrev looked radiant in a chic black one-piece cutout swimsuit as she lounged on deck with a cocktail in hand, accessorizing with oversized sunglasses and a trendy bucket hat.
Later in the evening, Nina Dobrev and Keleigh Teller, 32, traded their swimsuits for breezy sundresses, posing for a group snapshot alongside Miles Teller, 38, Efron, 37, Crawford, 40, and other A-list friends. While the exact timing of the trip is unclear, the photos surfaced just days after news broke of Dobrev’s split from White.
On September 11, multiple outlets reported that the couple had quietly ended their engagement, citing conflicting visions for their future. “Shaun is retired and has had his last Olympics [in 2022]. He was very ready for marriage and kids and all that comes from that,” a source told. “Nina Dobrev was on board but also very interested in seeing where her acting career was going to go, as that was and is very important to her.”
The insider added that while the pair shared similar values, they ultimately “couldn’t come together on a common goal,” which created strain in their relationship. Another source confirmed that the breakup was a “mutual decision.”
Nina Dobrev seemingly confirmed the split earlier this month when she attended the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival without her engagement ring. The couple began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in October 2024, sharing celebratory posts on social media at the time.
