Noomi Rapace, one of Sweden’s most recognised screen actors, is lined up to receive an honorary award from the Goteborg Film Festival, the Nordic region’s largest film event, which is also set to host a premiere tied to her latest work.
Rapace built her international reputation with the original Swedish adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and has since worked across Hollywood and European productions in a run of genre and drama roles.
The honour places her among a list of Nordic screen figures recognised by the festival, which uses its programme to spotlight both established names and emerging talent from the region.
