Travellers flying with SAS are facing disruption after wage talks broke down and the airline’s cabin crew moved toward industrial action. Negotiations between the carrier and the Fellesforbundet union collapsed, clearing the way for a strike that is set to begin on Saturday.
Around 500 union members are involved in the action. The airline and the union had been at the table trying to reach a deal, but with the talks having failed, the walkout is now scheduled to go ahead, raising the prospect of cancelled flights across the SAS network in the middle of the busy summer travel season.
