Dubai’s Startup Pipeline Gains Momentum as Seven Founders Enter Oraseya Capital’s Investment Review

NewsDubai’s Startup Pipeline Gains Momentum as Seven Founders Enter Oraseya Capital’s Investment Review

Dubai’s digital-economy ambitions moved from policy to practical action as seven technology startups stepped into a high-stakes pitching session designed to open the door to investment, mentorship and commercial scale. Convened by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy in collaboration with Oraseya Capital, the session placed founders directly before the investment team behind the SANDBOX Investment Program.

The companies represented a cross-section of the modern digital economy, from artificial intelligence and fintech to health technology, operational intelligence and sensory innovation. More than a showcase, the gathering gave participating founders an opportunity to test their growth propositions in front of investors whose fund is focused on backing technology ventures from pre-seed through Series B stages.

A Direct Route to Investor Dialogue

For early-stage companies, access to capital often depends on more than a polished presentation. Founders must demonstrate market relevance, a credible route to expansion and a clear understanding of how their technology can solve real business or consumer challenges. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy’s session was designed to create exactly that kind of exchange, bringing the seven startups together with Oraseya Capital and its SANDBOX Investment Program.

During the session, each startup presented its business model, technology solutions and plans for growth. The participating founders also received immediate feedback on the requirements involved in later stages of evaluation and possible investment, giving them practical direction at a critical point in their development.

Several of the companies advanced to the next stage of Oraseya Capital’s assessment process, signaling that the event was not simply a networking exercise. It created a structured pathway through which promising ventures may move toward investment consideration and wider ecosystem support.

Seven Ventures, Diverse Digital Solutions

The group reflected the range of technologies now shaping Dubai’s entrepreneurial landscape. Arakan is focused on digital tools that help businesses manage compliance, corporate requirements and related operational processes. Duno, meanwhile, has developed an operational-intelligence platform intended to help lenders better evaluate and understand small and medium-sized enterprises.

Artificial intelligence featured prominently among the participants. YOUNEA enables businesses to deploy branded AI agents across voice, chat and WhatsApp, while Avelin provides frontier-class AI capabilities through cloud, on-premises and air-gapped environments. Cogniver also operates in the AI space, using autonomous AI agents to support and automate organisational workflows and business processes.

The session also highlighted the growing relevance of vertical technology. Riayatech is developing health-tech solutions aimed at improving healthcare operations and the patient experience. SENSI is exploring fragrance technology and sensory digital experiences through its “Internet of Fragrances” concept, an example of how innovation in the region is extending beyond conventional software categories.

Capital Paired With Practical Support

Oraseya Capital, the investment arm of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, manages a AED 500 million fund focused on technology startups. Its mandate spans businesses at the pre-seed stage through to Series B, positioning it to support founders at different points in their development journey.

Through the SANDBOX Investment Program, eligible companies may access potential investment ranging from AED 550,000 to approximately AED 11 million. Yet financial backing is only one part of the proposition. The program also offers mentorship, investment-readiness guidance and access to a broader startup ecosystem, resources that can be as important as capital for founders navigating product development, customer acquisition and future fundraising.

That combination matters in a competitive venture environment. A startup may have a compelling product but still require help refining its commercial strategy, validating its growth assumptions or preparing for investor due diligence. By connecting startups with both investment expertise and operational support, the program seeks to help emerging companies become more prepared for sustainable expansion.

A Broader Signal for Dubai’s Digital Economy

The pitching session reflects Dubai’s continuing effort to strengthen the infrastructure around entrepreneurship, particularly for companies building solutions with regional and global potential. Rather than treating innovation as an isolated activity, the initiative links founders with institutional support, investors and programmes that can help convert ideas into scalable businesses.

For the seven startups, the immediate outcome is an opportunity to continue through Oraseya Capital’s review process. For Dubai’s wider ecosystem, the value lies in the signal sent to entrepreneurs: there are increasingly formal routes through which promising digital ventures can gain visibility, feedback and access to growth capital.

As artificial intelligence, operational technology, health innovation and digital services reshape industries across the region, initiatives like this may prove essential in ensuring that promising founders do not remain on the margins of the investment landscape. Instead, they are being invited into the room where the next stage of growth begins.
