Vivian Wilson Plays Three Myths for Awe Inspired’s Nocturne Jewelry

StyleVivian Wilson Plays Three Myths for Awe Inspired's Nocturne Jewelry

The jewelry label Awe Inspired closed out September with Nocturne, a Fall 2026 collection fronted by the model Vivian Wilson and built around a run of mythological characters. The brand describes the project as an exploration of “mythology, transformation and feminine power across three campaign chapters,” with Wilson carrying each chapter herself. It is her most substantial campaign work yet, and it lands as she moves from runway appearances toward the kind of solo billing that anchors a season.

Each chapter borrows a classical figure. Wilson first appears as Inanna, cast as a symbol of sovereignty, then as Persephone, framed around the idea of transformation. The final chapter turns to Medusa, read here as an emblem of defiance rather than menace. The conceit lets the collection shift register across the season while keeping a single face throughout, and it hands Wilson a range of moods to inhabit as the campaign unfolds in stages.

The pieces themselves lean gothic and Victorian, drawing on an era when jewelry often carried private meaning inside rigid rules of dress. Alongside conventional necklaces and rings, the collection introduces functional oddities such as pill boxes and slim potion vials, plus hair pins that nod to the chatelaine accessories once worn at the waist. The result is jewelry pitched as narrative object rather than simple ornament, closer to a prop than a charm.

Wilson arrives at the campaign with a short but visible fashion resume. She made her New York Fashion Week debut in 2025 and has since walked for Gucci and Alexander McQueen, with a turn for Savage X Fenty adding a different register to her early credits. Awe Inspired is betting that her growing profile can carry a collection this conceptual, and it has given her the whole season to prove the point.

For a brand known for talismanic, meaning-loaded pieces, Nocturne pushes further into storytelling, treating a jewelry drop as a set of characters instead of a lookbook. The three-part structure gives Awe Inspired room to release the campaign gradually and keep Wilson at the center as the fall calendar fills. The collection closed the month as a statement of intent, a small label reaching for myth to sell metal and stone, with a rising model as its single face.
