PHOENIX, Arizona — World Commerce & Contracting (WorldCC) will use its Americas Summit 2026 to examine how organizations can reduce contract value erosion and improve commercial performance across legal, procurement, finance, sales and operational teams.
The summit will take place October 5–6, 2026, at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix. The event is focused on commercial and contract management and will include sessions on value leakage, contract performance, risk, statements of work, scope control and cross-functional coordination.
WorldCC research estimates that organizations experience average contract value erosion of 8.6%. Stronger-performing organizations record erosion of slightly more than 3%, while weaker performers can lose more than 20% of expected contract value.
The research identifies fragmented ownership as one factor affecting contract outcomes. Commercial agreements often move between sales, legal, procurement, finance and operations, with different teams responsible for individual stages of the contract lifecycle.
WorldCC says this structure can create gaps in accountability, contract data and performance tracking when teams do not share information or common commercial objectives. The organization has also identified questions around who is responsible for monitoring the value originally agreed in a contract and responding when commercial conditions change.
The Americas Summit agenda includes sessions on identifying value erosion and value leakage, improving statements of work and managing scope creep. Other sessions will examine contract governance, negotiation and methods for connecting contract terms with operational performance.
The event will also address how changing economic conditions can affect existing agreements. WorldCC has listed tariffs, supply chain disruption, supplier turnover, nearshoring and friendshoring among the issues affecting current contract portfolios.
The summit theme, “One Discipline, Infinite Impact: Redefining Commercial and Contracting Beyond Functional Silos,” reflects the event’s focus on coordination between traditionally separate business functions.
The program will feature keynote presentations, workshops, case studies and panel discussions. WorldCC has stated that the event is intended for professionals involved in commercial and contract management decisions, including leaders from contracting, procurement, legal, finance, supply chain and operations.
Speakers announced for the summit include Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority; Tarek Amine, Principal Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Bechtel; and Kristie Hamilton, Global Director of Global Purchasing and Manufacturing Services Operations and Transformation at General Motors.
Standard registration runs through October 2. WorldCC lists standard ticket prices at $1,400 for members and $1,600 for non-members. The registration package includes two-day summit entry, scheduled meals and refreshments, a welcome reception, a social event and 12 continuing professional development points.
